On 10th April 2025, Foshan University Vice President Zhang Min led a delegation to visit Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC), and both sides started in-depth exchanges on the cooperation of nursing education. The delegation was accompanied by representatives of Foshan University Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office and the School of International Exchange, who were warmly received by President of KWNC, Van Iat Kio, Vice-President of KWNC, Ng Wai I and Executive Officer of Nursing & Health Study Centre of KWNC, Lei Wai In.
During the meeting, both parties discussed in depth how to strengthen the cooperation of nursing and elderly care programmes in the context of the ageing society and the development of the health industry. KWNC introduced its Programme in Dementia Care Giver (DCG) accredited by the Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI), and both sides started to discuss the mode of programme cooperation, aiming to provide students with richer cross-disciplinary learning opportunities. The two sides also exchanged views on the feasibility of joint training for undergraduate students and explored the direction of cooperation such as programme articulation and mutual recognition of credits. In order to respond to the development trend of the smart healthcare era and to promote the digital transformation and upgrading of nursing education and practice, KWNC invites Foshan University to give full play to its strengths in the field of Artificial Intelligence and to provide training on the application of AI technology for the faculty and staff of the College, so as to enhance the ability of digitalised teaching and learning.
